13 New Provincial Champs: Quebec, New Brunswick, Manitoba, Saskatchewan

Over the past few days 9 new provincial champions were crowned in 12 man football across the country. Also, new 10 man, 9 man, and 6 man championships were captured. Here are the winners from Quebec, New Brunswick, Manitoba and Saskatchewan.


SASKATCHEWAN

12-man (4A – Large Schools) – Saskatoon Centennial Chargers 9 Vs. Regina Campbell Tartans 14 – OVERTIME

Both teams had their chances to win due to a game filled with fumbles and interceptions. Campbell QB Frankie Gray (Team Saskatchewan) ran 52 yards to pay dirt with 1:13 remaining on the clock to tie the game at 8. The first OT saw the Chargers miss a field goal and settle for the rouge point. Connor Bloom scored the winning overtime touchdown.

12-man (3A – Small Schools) – Moose Jaw Peacock Tornadoes 7 Vs. Regina O’Neill Titans 33

It was the Titans first title since 1984. QB Mason Dick had a game high 17 carries for 109 yards and one touchdown.

9-man Division – Delisle 37 Vs. Humboldt 7

6-man (1A – Small Schools) – Carrot River 44 Vs. Plenty in Carrot River 20

6-man (2A – Large Schools) – Watrous 80 Vs. Hudson Bay 35


NEW BRUNSWICK

12-man – Fredericton Black Kats 15 vs. Bernice MacNaughtan Highlanders 14

A single point punt by Peter Esson with 57 seconds left sealed the victory for the Black Kats. It is the 12th provincial championship for the Black Kats. The Moncton Purple Knights were defending champs.

10-man – Kennebecasis Valley Crusaders 39 vs. Rothesay Red Hawks 13

Adam Spurrell scored on a 75 yard punt return 1:51 into the game and then added a touchdown on the third play from scrimmage to put the Crusaders up early. A lead they would never relinquish. It is the schools 3rd 10-man title.


MANITOBA

AAA – Oak Park Raiders 27 vs. St. Paul’s Crusaders 17

Oak Park RB Nic Demski had his second strong final appearance in a row to pace the Raiders to victory. St. Paul’s were defending champs.

AA – Murdoch MacKay Clansmen 11 vs. Kildonan East Reivers 4

A – Dakota Lancers 30 vs. Daniel Mac Maroons 2

JV – Oak Park Raiders 43 vs. Grant Park Pirates 12

OP completed a perfect 9 and 0 season with the win. Miracle Tamana, Tyson Morrissey and Bradey Will all scored TD and Kedo Sweetney scored 3.


QUEBEC

Juvenile AAA – Division 1 – Notre Dame Cactus 17 vs. Cure-Antoine-Labelle Les Loups 14

It was the Cactus’ 4th juvenile AAA championship. Brian Lusikila was chosen player of the game for the Cactus after a 183 rushing yard, one TD performance. The Cactus were down 14 to 0 after one quarter but battled back to score the winning touchdown with less than 2 minutes to play. Les Loups were defending champs. Les Loups player of the game was linebacker Adrian Marcogliese.

Juvenile AAA – Division 2 – Académie Saint-Louis 23 vs. Séminaire Saint-Joseph 20
