The 24-game schedule, comprised of six teams spread across Western Canada from Manitoba to British Columbia, features eight weekends of three games apiece. Week 1 is highlighted by 73rd Hardy Cup final rematch as Calgary hosts Saskatchewan at McMahon Stadium on Saturday, September 4th. In last yearā€™s Canada West final the Dinos edged the Huskies 39-38 when USask missed a last-second field goal to win. The Dinos went on to take the Uteck Bowl from Saint Maryā€™s and fell just short in the Vanier Cup national championship against Queenā€™s last November. Saskatchewan, however, did hand Calgary its only regular season loss last season. Before a live Shaw Television audience in the season-opener at Griffiths Stadium in Saskatoon, Calgary went for a two-point convert on a touchdown in overtime instead of extending the game with a single extra point, falling 14-13 in the shootout after a 20-20 tie in regulation. The Huskies and Dinos will meet a second time later in the 2010 season, at Griffiths Stadium in Saskatoon on Friday, October 15th.

Other match-ups on opening weekend see a Prairie duel as Manitoba travels to Regina on Friday, September 3rd. One year ago the Rams downed the visiting Bisons 28-10 at Mosaic Stadium in Regina, a difference that helped Regina narrowly claim the leagueā€™s final playoff spot in a tie-breaker over UBC. Alberta will be in Vancouver to take on UBC at Thunderbird Stadium to round out Labour Day weekend action. A late charge gave the T-Birds a win over the Golden Bears in 2009, but it was Alberta that made the playoffs with a 4-4 mark after a wild finish to the conference season.

Four of six teams will qualify for the 2010 playoffs, making every game during the short gridiron season a key contest. All teams will have a chance to rest and prepare for the final playoff drive with a ā€œbyeā€ on the weekend of Oct. 8-9, followed by three more weeks on the schedule before the post-season begins on Saturday, November 6th.

The Hardy Cup classic goes on Saturday, November 13th, with the winner hosting the Atlantic University Sport (AUS) champion in the Mitchell Bowl on November 20th as teams battle for a spot at the 46th Vanier Cup game, hosted in Quebec City by UniversitƩ Laval on November 27th.

Complete, detailed broadcast schedules will become available as the season approaches.
