2010 OUA FOOTBALL PLAYOFF SCENARIOS

HAMILTON, Ont. – Ontario University Athletics (OUA) has determined 16 possible football playoff scenarios depending on game outcomes this Saturday, October 23.

Heading into the final week of the regular season, three spots remain up for grabs and seeding is far from set for playoffs beginning on Saturday, October 30.

McMaster is the only determined seed. With their record of 6-2, they clinch third place and will host a quarter-final game next weekend. The Marauders are the only team finished their regular season of eight games and receive a bye this week as the other teams play out their fate.
Ottawa and Western, both 6-1, will finish first and second with the order to be determined after this weekend. Both the Gee-Gees and Mustangs receive a first-round bye, and will host the quarter-final winners on Saturday, November 6.

Seeds four, five and six are yet to be determined, with five teams vying for a position. Guelph (4-3), Toronto (3-4), Laurier (3-4), Queen’s (2-5) and Windsor (2-5) all have a chance at claiming one of the remaining spots. York is the only team that has been officially eliminated from playoffs, and will finish ninth.
