2011 BC Senior Bowl game set (March 26): Geremia & Kelly lead the camp


BURNABY, B.C. – Football BC announced today that the 2011 Senior Bowl game will take place on
Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Empire Field on the PNE grounds – home of the CFL BC Lions and the MLS Vancouver Whitecaps. Kickoff is 1 pm PT and admission is free.

The Senior Bowl roster is comprised of the top amateur football players in the province of British Columbia that will be graduating from high school in 2011. Players who have participated in previous Senior Bowls include current BC Lions players Justin Sorensen, Angus Reid and Paris Jackson. A full list of all 2011 participating players will be available online by Monday, March 21, 2011 at [url]www.playfootball.bc.ca or can be requested by e-mailing [email][email protected].

Football BC also announced today the coaching staff for the 2011 Senior Bowl camp. The staff will be led by Football BC Technical Director Dino Geremia (top picture), who will serve as head coach and defensive coordinator.


Denis Kelly (above picture), head coach of the WJ Mouat Hawks, will serve as the offensive coordinator and quarterback coach. Suresh Parray of Chilliwack Minor Football will be the other quarterback coach.
Rounding out the staff are running back coaches Duncan Olthuis (Kamloops Broncos) and Tom Fong (Mt. Douglas Rams); offensive line coaches Luke Acheson (Chilliwack Huskers), Ryk Piche (Centennial Centaurs), and Ryan Bellamy (Prince George Minor Football); receiver coaches Jon Klyne (Chilliwack Huskers), Ben McCauley (Kelowna Owls) and Taylor Slaught (Vancouver Island Raiders); offensive assistant Jerry Mullis (NSAAC); defensive line coaches Beau Davis (SFU Clan) and Ray Moon (South Delta Sun Devils); linebacker coaches Conrad Degau (Holy Cross Crusaders) and Jeff Alamahoda (Langley Rams); and defensive back coaches Jerome Erdman (UBC Thunderbirds) and Chris Gallant (Prince George Minor Football).

The 2011 Senior Bowl camp opens on Tuesday, March 22 and will run through to Friday, March 25 at the BC Lions Training Facility located at 10605 City Parkway in Surrey, B.C. A full schedule of Senior Bowl events is available online at [url]www.playfootball.bc.ca/pdfs/SrBowlSchedule2011.pdf.

Media and fans are invited to attend all training sessions at the BC Lions Training Facility and the Senior Bowl game at Empire Field. Media with appropriate credentials are also invited to proceed to field level at the conclusion of the Senior Bowl game on Saturday, March 26. Photographers with appropriate credentials are permitted to be at field level for the duration of the game. Please note that players and coaches will not be made available to the media until the conclusion of the game.
