2013 Panda Game tickets available Monday

The University of Ottawa and Carleton University athletic departments unveiled the new logo for the Panda Game, which is set to return on October 5, 2013. In addition, a ticket block of 500 general admission seats will be released for sale to the public on Monday, August 12 at 10 a.m.

The game will be held at Gee-Gees Field, the new facility at 200 Lees Avenue which has a capacity of 4,152, including 800 standing room tickets on the north sideline.

β€œThe teams really wanted to play each other,” said Gee-Gees head coach Jamie Barresi of the past Panda Games. β€œNow, when these two teams play each other again it’s going to mean a lot and I’m looking forward to that because it helps to make football better. The teams will put their best foot forward and try to put out a good product – I hope that people will embrace that as fans.”

β€œThe experience of having two teams in the same city is a phenomenal thing for CIS football as a whole, not just for uOttawa and Carleton,” said Carleton head coach Steve Sumarah.

The logo incorporates elements of both program’s branding identities and gives the tradition an updated look. Merchandise will be available leading up to the game.
