CFC100 Class of 2018 OL Kyle Hergel out of Clarkson Football North in Mississauga, ON has had a long road to the NFL, so it was strangely fitting he had to wait longer than most to find his first NFL home. The 6’2″, 315lb offensive lineman signed a contract as an undrafted free agent with the New Orleans Saints.

As a relatively undersized offensive lineman, Hergel had to prove his abilities on the field more than most. Spending three seasons at CFN, Hergel was ranked 19th overall in the CFC100 Class of 2018.

Before he arrived at Boston College as a graduate transfer, Hergel spent the first four years of his collegiate career between North Dakota and Texas State. Serving as an excellent blocker everywhere he went, Hergel was ranked third overall in the CFC40 Class of 2024. Now finding himself in Louisiana, Hergel will have an opportunity to compete for a roster spot and help protect quarterback Derek Carr.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
