- There’s been some question marks circling Holy Trinity Academy this year in their bid for back-to-back Tier II provincial titles, but they were able to silence the doubters this week with a huge 19-15 victory over CFC50 31st ranked Salisbury. Heading into this contest, Salisbury were riding high with their only loss of the season coming to CFC50 1st ranked Harry Ainlay, where they put up an incredible fight losing 20-10. Now you can’t follow the bouncing ball too far and say that Holy Trinity Academy could beat Harry Ainlay, but the context matters when you’re looking at the rankings. It’s gotta be an incredible confidence boost for this edition of the Knights, who fell just shy of beating back-to-back CFC50 ranked squads with a tight 21-16 loss to 30th ranked Lethbridge CI, who then went on to breeze past Catholic Central in a 54-0 blowout this week. All this madness has caused a huge reshuffle in the rankings with the Alberta programs, but all this movement is just white noise until we get to watch the best in Tier II duke it out for the provincial title in November.

- Dalbe-Viau continue to dominate in Juvenile DII with an impressive 43-11 victory over Estacades. They’ve now outscored their opponents 218-85, and it seems like they’re only getting better as the season rolls on. Elsewhere in Quebec, Triolet have earned a spot on the rankings after a clinical 35-6 victory over College de Levis to improve their record to 4-2. We are excited to see how they perform down the stretch with a couple big contests against Saint-Joseph and Estacades left on the schedule.

- Lastly we finish off this week’s coverage in British Columbia where you’ve got Vernon sitting on the throne, and everyone else fighting for a spot in the castle. With the defending champs Windsor falling off a cliff this year, there’s a huge void as we search for the true contenders halfway through the season. This week it’s Handsworth getting some recognition on the rankings after 42-14 victory against Windsor, and they’ve already got two wins against Mount Douglas, who managed to take down previously ranked Ballenas. The AA/AAA Hybrid Conference is full of good teams right now, we just have to wait to see who breaks away from the pack and proves they belong in the elite conversation alongside Vernon.
