27th edition of Ed Henick Senior Bowl takes place May 23 (Saskatchewan)


The 27th edition of the ED Henick Senior Bowl takes place on May 23, 2011 in Regina. The intent of the Ed Henick Senior Bowl game is to showcase the best high school football players who have used their last year of eligibility in a North vs. South all-star game.

From these selection camps 80 players will be chosen from the North and 80 players will be chosen from the South to attend a full contact tryout camp in Regina or Saskatoon. From these camps the top 45 players from each camp will be selected to take part in the 27th edition of the game. The Training camps will run in late April or early May. The respective North/South Coaching staffs will run the two a day practices scheduled for this weekend with guest coaches from the high school leagues. The weekend tryout/training camps will consist of four practices, two Saturday and two Sunday. Players will be evaluated by the Senior Bowl coaching staff and will be notified after if they will be representing one of the Senior Bowl teams.

The Ed Henick Senior Bowl Game changes locations between Regina’s Mosaic Stadium and University of Saskatchewan’s Griffiths Stadium. This year’s game is being played in Regina at Mosaic Stadium with Team South looking for their 5th consecutive victory; Team South leads the all-time series 16-10.
