3rd Year’s over…Already?

Our spring camp has officially come to an end, and it’s time to focus on finishing up exams and yet another school year. This was probably the most upbeat, enthusiastic, and well run spring camp that I have been apart of since I have been here the last three years. Every year we have a “garnet and grey game” at the end of our camp, however usually reps are limited and we are restricted with the amount of plays that we run. This year we brought out game jersey’s, had what seemed like every ref in ottawa, and we were split into two teams. It gave us as close of a game simulation as possible, which is the most needed when you haven’t seen another jersey colour for the past 6 months and everything is “thud”. I think our coaches did a good job of promoting it as well, since we had a good crowd on hand to watch. Overall I don’t think any of our players or coaches can argue that was one of our better run and better played spring camps in a while.

On a side note, my father always tells me about the year they went down and watched the Ohio state spring game and 80,000 people were in attendance. It’s always hard to believe people are that crazy about their team to almost sell out their stadium for a spring camp game. We’ll get there one day…

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
