Nelson Lords Touch Football Shoot-Out this month

The Nelson Lords and McMaster Marauders have partnered together to host the 1st Annual Nelson Lords Touch Football Shoot-Out.

We are most excited to invite Ontario’s top football programs to join us on the McMaster Campus to showcase the Canadian football passing game!!

Date: Monday April 25th, 2016

Fees: • Completed Registration form with $300 (Scan & Email / Fax)

Payment due by: April 8th, 2016 — Cheque Payable to Nelson High School

Location: Hosted by the McMaster Marauder Football Program at Ron Joyce Stadium and adjacent turf fields (3 Total) Format/ Games: 8-16 Team Tournament totally emphasizing the ‘Pass Game’ – (Varsity Teams)

• 4 Game Minimum

• 40 Minute Run Time Games (Shoot-out Format)

• All Games take place between 8am-4pm Rules: All rules played are in place to promote the passing game and help with the development of your SKILL players. These rules encourage a fast pace of play in order to maximize the number of plays in each game.

• Shoot-out format (CFL Overtime) starting from the 45 yard-line • NON-CONTACT – 1 Hand Touch (Games officiated by McMaster Players)

• Passing plays only – No kicking/punting/handoffs (No Rouges)

• 3 downs to make 10 yards

• No rusher – QB’s have 4 seconds to get passes off / QBs cannot run

• Interceptions are worth 2 points (No run-backs)

• Touchdowns are worth 6 points – Converts (1 Pt from 5 yrds / 2 Pts from 10 yrds)
