CΓ‰GEP10 (coll. div. 1) RANKINGS (7): We’ve got some movement after a crazy week, but at which end of the rankings?

1. AndrΓ©-Grasset PhΓ©nix (5-1)
Trouble in paradise? Probably not. Grasset suffered their first loss of the season to Vanier, which no doubt is a huge win for the Cheetahs, but until further notice theΒ PhΓ©nix have still earned the right to be called top dog.

2. Ch.-Lennoxville Cougars (5-1)
If the Cougars had been the ones to knock off Grasset, they’d be atop the standings right now, but if the last two week’s have proven anything – these rankings are worthless once the football is kicked off with all top four teams legit contenders.

3. LΓ©vis-Lauzon Faucons (5-1)
The defence showed a few signs of cracks once again, but still nobody can slow down the Faucons offence who’ve scored a league high 283 points.

4. Vanier Cheetahs (4-2)
It’d be nice to give Vanier a boost in the rankings with their win over Grasset, but based off everything that has happened this year it, still seems like fourth is the proper spot for them – for now. The Cheetahs are as talented as they come, and proved this past week that they’ll take full advantage if they catch you napping on their abilities.

5. Notre-Dame-de-Foy (3-3)
Just when it seemed like CNDF was back on track, Champlain brought them back down to earth with a 41-15 beatdown.

6. Vieux MontrΓ©al Spartiates (3-3)
Close games can swing either way no matter who you are playing, and the Spartitates are happy it swung in their favour this past week up against a pesky bunch from Saint-Jean.

7. Limoilou Titans (3-3)
The interesting story of Limoilou continues, generally it’s been their offence that has faltered this year, but it was the defence who gave way in a competitive matchup versusΒ LΓ©vis-Lauzon.

8. Montmorency Nomades (1-5)
We finally find movement at the bottom of the pile, and it feels nice to see Montmorency celebrating a win with a boost in the rankings. The Nomades have been scrappy all year, so they certainly deserved to reap the rewards of at least one victory this season.

9. Saint-Jean GΓ©ants (0-6)
Saint-Jean is another never say die outfit, and although they came up short once again, they deserve a ton of credit for battling the Spartiates tooth and nail in a 37-36 defeat.

10. Garneau Γ‰lans (1-5)
It was a very winnable game for Garneau, but they simply couldn’t get the job done versus Montmorency.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
