CFC # 2 NOTRE DAME PRIDE VERSUS CFC # 32 HARRY AINLAY TITANS:

CFC #2 Notre Dame Pride will face its second greatest challenge in the past week.

After the team defeated CFC # 21 St. Francis Browns 38-6 last weekend, the Pride has set up a showdown with CFC # 32 Harry Ainlay Titans.

Reflecting back on last week’s performance, Pride Head Coach David Diluzio was content with how the players responded to the challenge and hopes that once again; the team will rise to the occasion against their opponents on Saturday.

β€œI thought the kids played very well in the city finals,” reflected Diluzio.Β  β€œThe offensive and defensive line played well in particular.”

β€œWe have a lot of respect for St. Francis and know they would have been very prepared to play us.”

On the eve of the Tier 1 Southern Final, the Pride is making final preparations for their battle against the Titans.

β€œThis weekend’s game will be a huge challenge,” said Diluzio.Β  β€œHarry Ainlay is a very strong team and looks very good on film.”

β€œWe have never played them before.”

Ultimately, the team needs to do several things in order to pull out a victory.

β€œWe really respect their running game with lots of perimeter runs; we must play good team defense,” evaluated Diluzio.Β  β€œTheir front on defense looks very tough; we must do a solid job blocking. Β Defensive back/receiver Junior Henning, defensive back/receiver Jacob Janke and running back/defensive lineman David Adebayo are top players in the province and will give us lots of issues.”

Overall, the Pride is thrilled to be in the Tier 1 Southern Final.
