In this next installment, David Diluzio, Head Coach of CFC #2 Notre Dame Pride gives his thoughts and outlook to the team’s Tier 1 Southern Final on Saturday against CFC # 32 Harry Ainlay Titans.

CFC # 2 NOTRE DAME PRIDE VERSUS CFC # 32 HARRY AINLAY TITANS:

CFC #2 Notre Dame Pride will face its second greatest challenge in the past week.

After the team defeated CFC # 21 St. Francis Browns 38-6 last weekend, the Pride has set up a showdown with CFC # 32 Harry Ainlay Titans.

Reflecting back on last week’s performance, Pride Head Coach David Diluzio was content with how the players responded to the challenge and hopes that once again; the team will rise to the occasion against their opponents on Saturday.

“I thought the kids played very well in the city finals,” reflected Diluzio.  “The offensive and defensive line played well in particular.”

“We have a lot of respect for St. Francis and know they would have been very prepared to play us.”

On the eve of the Tier 1 Southern Final, the Pride is making final preparations for their battle against the Titans.

“This weekend’s game will be a huge challenge,” said Diluzio.  “Harry Ainlay is a very strong team and looks very good on film.”

“We have never played them before.”

Ultimately, the team needs to do several things in order to pull out a victory.

“We really respect their running game with lots of perimeter runs; we must play good team defense,” evaluated Diluzio.  “Their front on defense looks very tough; we must do a solid job blocking.  Defensive back/receiver Junior Henning, defensive back/receiver Jacob Janke and running back/defensive lineman David Adebayo are top players in the province and will give us lots of issues.”

Overall, the Pride is thrilled to be in the Tier 1 Southern Final.

“We are really excited to be still playing and hopefully we can compete well in the snow Saturday,” said Diluzio.
