Dakota Edgley has been playing for almost five years and has played several positions before settling in on the offensive line as a centre.
The entirety of Edgleyβs gridiron career has been with the Cornwall Wildcats of the National Capital Amateur Football Association (NCAFA).
His offseason consists of time in the gym, where he does strength and endurance training twice a week. He is also is enrolled in winter training camps that the house league offers.
There are a few reasons that the offensive lineman is participating in the Ontario Prospects Challenge (OPC).
βMy first hope the Ontario Prospect Challenge (OPC) is to make the team,β said Edgley. βAlso this is a great learning experience for myself.β
βIt is definitely fun meeting new coaches and players, and learning new techniques that will help me in the future.”
When it finally comes time to graduate, he hopes to play university football in either Canada or the United States.
Overall, the standout is passionate about the game.
βFootball is such a fun sport,β explains Edgley. βItβs a great way to get the energy out and a great workout at the same time.β
Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
