A.N. Myer SB ready to help Waterloo

Warriors continue to bolster roster with commits.

First impressions are important and Rushon Dagelman, a slotback from A.N. Myer Secondary School, will have a chance to show what he is made of after committing to the Waterloo Warriors.

The Warriors are currently in a rebuilding phase and that can have its advantages. Dagelman said he committed to Waterloo because of the team’s current situation. “Rather than going to a big established program and sitting two to three years there is a lot of opportunity for a young guy like me to come in and kind of put myself on the coaches’ radar from day one,” he said.

Along with the chance to be apart of a developing program, Dagelman was also drawn to the school because of their academics. “The recreation and leisure program is what sold me on the school. I had the opportunity to sit in on a lecture while I was there and it seemed like a very interesting program,” he said.

The 5’10, 170lbs A.N Myer Marauder (Southern Ontario Secondary School Athletics Association) is looking forward to working with the Warriors’ coaching staff for many years to come. “They are all great guys and seem like they are all players’ coaches,” he said.

“It also helps to know that most of them will likely be there when I graduate, so it’s a good thing that there will be stability with in the coaching staff,” Dagelman added.

In his career, Dagelman has also suited up for the Niagara Spears (Ontario Varsity Football League) and the Leduc Tigers (Metro Edmonton High School Athletics Association). While with the Marauders, he won the 2016 Ontario Federation of School Athletic Association Central Bowl championships.
