Red Deer recruit joins CWUAA team’s 2016 class

For Travis Derksen, education was the primary factor in where he would commence his CIS gridiron career.

This past week, the 6’2, 250 pound offensive lineman (center/guard) from Red Deer signed with the University of Alberta Golden Bears.  Derksen will join the team for the 2016 CWUAA season.

“The main reason that I committed to University of Alberta is because of their engineering program,” explained the lineman of his decision.  “Their educational resources that will help me get a good degree that will help me after football.”
