AFL: Hurricanes head to Summerside for Maroon & White intersquad game

Wednesday, September 9, 2015. Charlottetown, PE – Fans in the Summerside area will get the opportunity to check out this year’s Holland Hurricanes football team this Saturday, when the team plays a maroon and white inter-squad game at 1 p.m. on the turf field at Credit Union Place.

Head coach Kyle Quinlan said the team promises to be solid again this year as it prepares to defend its Atlantic Football League championship for the fourth time.

“The team is shaping up nicely, but there is always work to do. I am especially excited to bring the Hurricanes to Summerside where grassroots football has been exploding in recent years,” he said.

This year’s team includes returning linebacker Alex Rose, a former player with the Summerside Clippers. Admission to the maroon and white inter-squad game is free of charge. Tickets for a 50/50 draw in support of Summerside area football teams will be available.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
