GAME OF THE WEEK:
Tier II

#6 Austin O’Brien Crusaders at #1 Foothills Falcons

Saturday, September 11, 7:00 p.m.

Falcon Stadium at Foothills High School (Okotoks)

The defending Provincial Tier II Champions open their home schedule with a clash against the traditional Tier II power from the North – the Austin O’Brien Crusaders. The Crusaders started off their season last week with an uncharacteristic loss to rising power St. Joes from Grande Prairie so they will be looking to right the ship this week. Last year these two teams met in Edmonton with Austin O’Brien taking the game 28-18. This year the defending champs started with two road games beating their opposition by a combined score of 99-10. With the Falcons in full flight already and playing at home, the Crusaders better bring their “A” game to Okotoks under the lights this Saturday.

Here are the Weekly Top-10 Rankings for all four Tier’s of high school football in Alberta for the 2010 season. These rankings will come out every Sunday (except for Labor Day when they will come out on Tuesday) from now up until Nov. 8.
The teams are slotted into Tiers based on their estimated school size, which may change once official counts are known at the end of September. Please note that games vs. US opponents, or tournaments are not taken into consideration for ranking or listed in the overall record of the schools due to too many variables and inconsistent rules for those games.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
