WEEK 1 RANKINGS

GAMES OF THE WEEK:
Tier I Extravaganza Week!!
Not one, not two, but three match-ups between Tier I Top 10 teams and three heated rivalries to boot! The games include

#5 L.C.I. Rams vs. #1 Raymond Comets

Friday, October 1, 7:00 p.m.

Don Steed Memorial Stadium (Raymond)

β€˜The’ can’t miss regular season game in the Southern Alberta League each year. The Comets are flying high as per usual and the Rams have been much better than expected so far plus both teams are undefeated (on both sides of the border). This game never needs any hype but it would be a good idea to get their early to get a seat!

#9 Salisbury Sabres vs. #2 Bev Facey Falcons

Thursday, September 30, 5:00 p.m.

Strathcona Athletic Park (Sherwood Park)

The Falcons are off to the same ballistic start they’ve had in the past few years while the Sabres crew is much improved from last year. The winner of this game has gone on to the Provincial Final the last five years. The β€˜Battle of Sherwood Park’ will also be a sellout so unless you like standing, leave work early J.

#6 Jasper Place Rebels vs. #4 Harry Ainlay Titans

Friday, October 1, 5:00 p.m.

Clarke Park (Edmonton)

A renewed rivalry that features teams who haven’t reached these heights in a while. Should be fun this Friday!

Here are the Weekly Top-10 Rankings for all four Tier’s of high school football in Alberta for the 2010 season. These rankings will come out every Sunday (except for Labor Day when they will come out on Tuesday) from now up until Nov. 8.

The teams are slotted into Tiers based on their estimated school size, which may change once official counts are known at the end of September. Please note that games vs. US opponents, or tournaments are not taken into consideration for ranking or listed in the overall record of the schools due to too many variables and inconsistent rules for those games.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
