Alberta recruit thrilled to join Huskies’ tradition

Ardrossan quarterback joins AUS team’s 2015 class.

Saint Mary’s Huskies announce the addition of Trevor Erdmann to their football program.

The 6’2, 195 pound quarterback from Ardrossan, Alberta will join the team for the 2015 AUS season.

“We are extremely happy to have Trevor join our football family,” commented Huskies Head Coach Perry Marchese.

Since 2010, Erdmann has been playing for the Edmonton Huskies of the Prairie Football Conference (PFC) in the Canadian Junior Football League (CJFL).  This past season, the pivot completed 136 passes in 270 attempts for 1757 yards and 12 passing touchdowns.

For his part, one phone call was all it took for Erdmann to join the Huskies.

“Coach Marchese contacted me later in the offseason regarding to playing this year for Saint Mary’s,” recalled Erdmann.  “Saint Mary’s has a great criminology program out there which I’m going to use in a law enforcement career.”

“Saint Mary’s has a great history of success and Coach Marchese offered me an opportunity to compete to play for the last few years of eligibility I have left.  I am very excited to be a part of a proud football tradition.”
