TT – “What are your thoughts on the home stretch playoff run?”

Well I think you hit the nail right on the head, there appears to be a real playoff feel to the
remaining regular season games. In our team’s case we must focus on 1 game at a time. Our
goal is to make the playoffs with the best possible finish.

If we continue to improve each week and can hold off the injury bug I think our opportunities will present themselves and than our players must execute on the field. Of our 3 remaining games 2 are at home and 1 on the road, it is the next road trip to Burlington that we must now focus on.
Burlington is coming off a loss to the Sooners and will be motivated to get back on the winning side of the ledger. I think this game will be hard fought game and it will come down to which team makes the least mistakes and remains disciplined.

After playing an athletic Burlington Braves team we continued to get better in all 3 phases of the game. We have to continue to be more efficient on offense and if we are going to do anything in the playoffs we have to do a better job of protecting the football. We have a tough game this weekend in Hamilton and we know they are better than 3-2 record especially on defense with 11 starters back from last year.
We know we have to help to catch St Leonard if we want home field advantage throughout the playoffs. With the youth of our team with every practice and game they continue to improve and gain valuable experience. Our main focus is still to continue to get better until the end of the regular season and start peaking for the playoffs. We will work hard to try and get the best regular season position we can, stay healthy and get a few players back from injuries. We haven’t changed our focus from week to week we will just concentrate on our weekly opponent and not look ahead.

Our guys are excited to take on the defending champs this week. We understand the importance of this game and we will be ready to play. There are quite a few teams still in the mix for the playoffs so each week is important.

Brad Winder London Beefeaters
Head Coach

TT – “Friday night was a great come back victory – your thoughts please? What are your
thoughts on the home stretch playoff run?”

Friday night was a great team effort after the break. The players pulled together and overcame a strong Hamilton team. Next week will be another physical game as every game here on in will be highly contested. We know Windsor will be tough at home.

I feel that we have been in position to be 3-1 or 2-2 at worst. However we failed to make some simple plays in crunch time. We will continue working and are not thinking too far ahead…we are focused 100% on London. We respect them as a team and will need a solid game plan and crisp execution of said plan in order to come out with a victory.

Mark Houlder Brampton Bears
Head Coach

TT – “As a first year junior team the Brampton Bears have held their own. Is this a fair
statement from your point of view?”

We played the defending OFC champs and it took over time to settle the match. On Saturday we played St Leonard, we lost 24-2, they blocked a punt (we had 11 men) we also had 9 penalties for 110 yards and almost 200 yds of total offense. We missed 2 FG. No blow out games, still competing in the 4th quarter.
Last week we lost Ryan Hector (back to high school) and this week Teddy Peters (punter).
We are very proud of our Bears. The team is young and hungry. We feel that we have held our own as a first year team.
We are so happy to be a part of the OFC and look forward to, one day soon, being the OFC Champs. Ever day we get
better.
