AUS Recruiting Wrap: St. F.X., Bishop’s continue padding their C/O 2022, Acadia announces first commit

LB Matthew Shannon

The Acadia University Axemen announced Matthew Shannon is the first athlete to commit to their class of 2022.

Matthew Shannon is a 6’3″, 205lbs linebacker from Truro, N.S., where he played for Cobequid Educational Centre.

 

DL Rafferty Haas

Rafferty Haas is Bishop’s University’s second commit of the season and the first international commit to come to the Atlantic University Sport conference.

Haas is a 6’0″, 290lbs defensive tackle for CEGEP Vulkins de Victoriaville in Victoriaville, Que.. He is originally from Chateauneuf-Villevielle, France.

 

REC Gabin Leux

Gabin Leux is another international prospect that the Gaiters pulled in this month.

Leux is a receiver for CEGEP de Thetford Filons and is originally from Vannes, France.

 

DB Felix Massicotte

Felix Massicotte will stay in Quebec to play for Bishop’s in the fall.

Massicotte is a defensive back for CEGEP de Levis Faucons. His hometown is L’Ancienne-Lorette, Que..

 

DB Cherif Camara

Cherif Camara is Bishop’s lates recruit.

Camara is a defensive back from Sherbrooke, Que., where he played for the Volontaires de Sherbrooke.

 

REC Sam Taylor

Sam Taylor will join his class of 2022 teammate, Will Kubas, at St. Francis Xavier University this season, as he has committed to the X-Men.

Taylor is a 6’2″, 170lbs receiver from Milton, Ont., where he played for St. F.X. Catholic Secondary School.

 

CFC100 OL Ryan Arenburg

Ryan Arenburg will be coming from south of the border to attend St. FX next season. He is the second CFC-ranked player to land with the X-Men in the past month.

Arenburg is a 6’3″, 310lbs offensive lineman for Episcopal High School in Alexandria, V.A.. He is originally from Dayspring, N.S..

 

DL Jack Stanley

Jack Stanley is another Nova Scotia product staying in his home province to play for the X-Men in the fall.

Stanley is a defensive end for Bay View High School in Upper Tantallon, N.S..

 

REC Payton Plesh

Payton Plesh will take his talents from Ontario to the east coast, as he has committed to St. F.X. for 2022.

Plesh is a 6’1″, 180lbs receiver from Barrie, Ont., where he played for St. Joan of Arc Catholic High School. He also played for the Huronia Stallions.

 

DB James McGill

James McGill will also be travelling from Ontario to St. F.X. for the upcoming season.

McGill is a 6’2″, 170lbs defensive back for Algonquin Catholic Secondary School in Powassan, Ont..
