B.C. high school football honoured its best for the 2011 season on Tuesday during its annual Subway Bowl awards banquet. In AAA, Mount Douglas RB Terrell Davis was picked Player of the Year. Lord Tweedsmuir quarterback Mike Messenger was picked Offensive MVP, while Notre Dame lineman Michael Herdman was named Defensive MVP.
In AA, John Barsby running back Nathan Berg was selected the tierβs MVP. Running back Jesse Foricer of Mission was selected the Offensive MVP, and linebacker Jordan Kuziek of the Whalers was named Defensive MVP.
St. Thomas More quarterback Mikey Carney was named Subway Academic Player of the Year.
