Games of the Week Preview

AAA: Mt. Douglas vs. Centennial, Saturday 5:30pm, UBC Thunderbird Stadium

The Mt. Douglas Rams will make the trip over to the mainland to take on the Centennial Centaurs in the first round of the playoffs. The Rams posted a 4-2 record during the regular season while the Centaurs went 2-3. The Rams will be led by the dynamic Terrell Davis who almost had a 1000 yard rushing season. The Centaurs on the other hand will be led by Jason Buren who had a very respectable 700+ yard rushing season. This has the potential to be the best game of the Wildcard weekend and can be seen Live on BCHIGHSCHOOLFOOTBALL.COM.

AA: Prince George vs. Seaquam, Saturday 5:00pm, Hillside Stadium (Kamloops)

Prince George finished with a strong 4-1 record in the Northern conference led by solid running from Taylor Goodine and an accurate passing attack from quarterback Tyson Plain who threw 5 touchdowns and only one interception. Seaquam was led by the dominate running of Greg Finley who rushed for over 600 yards with 5 touchdowns. The Seahawks also had a dominate defence during the regular season giving up the second fewest points in the entire AA league, 60. This should prove to be one of the most competitive Wild Card weekend games of the weekend.

Tier 2: Howe Sound vs Westsyde, Friday 7:30pm, Thompson Rivers University

Howe Sound is coming off a defeat to Frank Hurt and a long trip and an unknown Westsyde
squad will make this one an eye opener for Tier II.
