BC High School Notable Performances: CFC 100 Farinu, Seymour, West & Walker unstoppable

BC HIGH SCHOOL NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:

• Notre Dame QB Theo Landers threw a pair of touchdowns and rushed for two scores in a 49-35 win over Belmont.
• W.J. Mouat QB Noah Falconer went 7-of-10 in the air for 168 yards and threw for two touchdowns in a closely contested 23-21 win against Centennial.
• Mt. Douglas RB Seye Farinu recorded back-to-back touchdowns as part of his team’s 35-23 come-from-behind win against New Westminster. He finished the game with 84 yards rushing and also added 10 tackles on defence.
• New West REC Matt Seymour recorded 201 all-purpose yards, including five catches for 82 yards, four carries for 79 yards, and 40 yards on two returns in a 35-23 loss against Mt. Douglas. Teammate K Wayne Palmer kicked a 40-yard field goal in the game.
• Terry Fox RB Mike West scored three touchdowns off of eight offensive touches in their 37-6 win against Kelowna. He finished the game with five carries for 46 yards rushing and one touchdown, and made three catches for 70 yards for the other two majors.
• Lord Tweedsmuir LB Hayden Hamilton recorded nine tackles and a sack in their 35-6 win against Rutland.
• St. Thomas More QB Terrell Jana threw 169 yards including two touchdown passes, and rushed for 53 yards and a score in a 41-0 win against Mt. Boucherie.
• Duchess Park RB Jacob Cundy carried the ball seven times for 130 yards and two touchdowns in a 42-8 in against Nechako Valley, while teammate LB Mitchell Schultz recorded 12 tackles and two sacks.
• John Barsby QB North Rainey went 12-of-22 for 224 yards and five touchdown passes, while RB/DB Cole Virtanen had one interception and ten tackles in a 37-0 win against Sentinel.
• Ballenas RB Coltin Laplante carried 21 times for 265 yards and three touchdowns, and added four tackles and a fumble recovery, in a 62-24 win over Nanaimo District.
• Nanaimo District LB Jeremie Cheng recorded 15 tackles in a 62-24 loss to Ballenas.
• Robert Bateman QB Josh Friskie went 6-of-7 for 66 yards and two touchdowns in the air in a 35-6 win against Samuel Robertson. He also intercepted a pass to set up another score, and returned a punt 60 yards for a touchdown.
• South Delta QB Lucas Kirk threw two touchdown passes and scored on a run of his own as he gained 350 all-purpose yards in a 37-22 win against Vancouver College.
• Vancouver College LB Chris Ellis recorded 17 tackles in a 37-22 loss to South Delta.
• Handsworth QB Mihai Lapuste went 12-of-20 for 224 yards while passing for a touchdown and rushing for another in a 24-0 win against West Vancouver.
• Mission QB Jesse Walker put four scores on the board by going on a 62 yard run, returning a punt 55 yards, returning a kickoff 80 yards, and throwing a 45 yard pass in a 52-26 win against Rick Hansen.
• Hugh Boyd QB Tyler Moxin threw for two touchdowns and ran for a score in a 22-7 win over Seaquam in their first game of the season.
