BC High School Notable Performances: CFC 100 Walker & Farinu shines

BC HIGH SCHOOL NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:

• Argyle QB Cole Theobald passed for two touchdowns and 156 yards through the air in a close 13-12 win over No. 1 ranked John Barsby.
• John Barsby RB Cole Virtanen scored a touchdown and led the team with 10 tackles in a 13-12 loss against Argyle.
• Abbotsford QB Jordan Fox rushed for over 100 yards, threw for four scores and rushed for another in a 40-24 win over GW Graham.
• Lord Tweedsmuir RB Caleb Abraham rushed 19 times for 129 yards and two scores, and had a pick-six in a 45-16 win against W.J. Mouat.
• W.J. Mouat RB Keegan McGillivray rushed for two touchdowns from 16 and 28 yards, respectively, in a 45-16 loss to Lord Tweedsmuir.
• Terry Fox RB Jericho Mendez rushed for three touchdowns in a 38-0 win against Centennial.
• CFC 100 Mt. Douglas RB Seye Farinu scored two touchdowns en route to a 34-0 win against West Vancouver.
• St. Thomas More QB Terrell Jana passed for 117 yards and a touchdown and also rushed for another 53, including a score, in a 49-6 win against Kelowna.
• Nanaimo District REC Malik Besseghieur caught three touchdown passes and rushed for another in a 34-6 win against Sentinel, while DL Jeremy Binnersley had four tackles, two sacks, and a pick.

• CFC 100 Mission QB Jesse Walker returned a pick 50 yards for a touchdown and also scored on a 60 yard run in a 33-13 win against Pitt Meadows.
• Seaquam DL Devon Gould led the defence with ten tackles and three sacks in a 28-8 win against Moscrop.
• Vernon RB Karson Patommel had 17 carries for 162 yards and three touchdowns, one of them through the air, in a 37-12 win against Salmon Arm.
• Carson Graham QB Mike Worthen threw 23-of-29 for 370 yards and three touchdowns while RB Russell Tolentino rushed 23 times for 153 yards and two scores in a 49-48 win against Handsworth.
• Handsworth RB Gerard Cerasco recorded 231 all-purpose yards and four touchdowns in their 49-48 loss against Carson Graham.
• Ballenas RB Coltin Laplante became the first B.C. football player this season to reach the 1,000 yard rushing mark, carrying the ball 13 times for 216 yards and three touchdowns in a 41-6 win against Windsor.
• Clarence Fulton QB Tye Kitzman carried for 148 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for two scores, in a 28-12 win against South Kamloops.
• South Delta QB Lucas Kirk went 13-of-19 for 280 yards and threw three touchdown passes in a 43-14 win over Belmont. He also rushed for a score as well.
• Vancouver College REC Matthew Legge had a 67-yard catch-and-run touchdown and scored on a 55-yard punt return in a 31-6 win over New Westminster.
• New Westminster LB Jeff Lugtu had 11 tackles in a 31-6 loss to Vancouver College. He leads the league in that category.
