BC HIGH SCHOOL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK:
TRIPLE A:
QB JOHNNY CHWAKLINSKI
Lord Tweedsmuir Panthers
Johnny Chwaklinski picked a great time to make his comeback from injury. In his first full game of the season, Chwaklinski was a key cog in a 35-20 win over Belmont.
Chwaklinski opened the playoffs by throwing a 70-yard touchdown strike while carrying the ball eight times for 60 yards and three touchdowns.
DOUBLE A:
QB JOSS YANCIW
Seaquam Seahawks
In the first round of playoffs, Joss Yanciw proved to be a crucial player in a win against the Pitt Meadows Marauders, a team ranked in The Province’s Big 5 for most of the regular season.
Yanciw rushed for two 20-yard scores and also threw touchdown strikes of 20 and 50 yards in a 39-28 victory.
Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
