Ranji Mattu Coach of the Year
Bob Reist-Valley Huskers
This is Bob’s second year as head coach of the Huskers. In 2017 he relocated from Winnipeg and inherited a Huskers club that had gone 0-20 the previous two seasons. In 2017, while the Huskers again were 0-10 there were clear signs the club was turning the corner.
In 2018 Bob led some of the strongest recruiting seen in the history of the BCFC and through retaining some key local talent and bringing in a large contingent of Manitoba bred players Reist led the Huskers to a 6-4 record and a playoff berth.
Along the way were just the club’s second ever win over the VI Raiders and first ever win against the Okanagan Sun.

Outstanding Offensive Player
Julian Wytinck / QB / Valley Huskers
189 COMP / 247 ATT / 2745 YDS / 18 TDS / 20 INT
Julian led the previously 0-30 Valley Huskers to the play-offs in his first and final season of junior football. Julian’s leadership of the Huskers offense, along with a talented set of receivers turned the Huskers from pretenders to contenders.
Big shoes to fill at the position for the Huskers as Wytinck has left a legacy that will not soon be forgotten in Chilliwack.
