A pair of 1-1 teams will clashΒ this SaturdayΒ when the Okanagan Sun host the Vancouver Island Raiders in the game of the week for Week 3. Kickoff isΒ 7 pmΒ at the Apple Bowl.
The Raiders are looking to build on a 39-9 victory last week over the Westshore Rebels while the Sun are looking to rebound from a 33-20 loss to the Langley Rams.
The Valley Huskers (0-2) host the Westshore Rebels (0-2) at Exhibition Stadium in the only other game in the BCFC this week. Kickoff is atΒ 1 pm.
The Langley Rams (2-0) and Kamloops Broncos (2-0) have a bye this week.
The Westshore Rebels will travel 200 kmβs for their second road game to take on the Chilliwack Valley Huskers where both teams are looking for their first win of the season.

Week 2 offensive player of the week WR Nathan Leader leads the BCFC in reception yards and hopes to maintain his 26.9 yards per average on 12 catches when he lines up with his QB Hunter Lake, who threw for an amazing 437 yards last week, but has to work on his 2 INTβs and 0 TDβs.

The ground game is also coming together with RB Johnny Quan who sits 5th overall in the conference with 78 yards, a 5.6 yard average and an improving offensive line that’s making more holes for Johnny and the offense.
The defence, while allowing 77 points over their first 2 games has also looked stronger after week 2 with defensive player of the week Chris Pastro putting up 5 tackles and 2 sacks against the Raiders.Β In 2 weeks Tyler Leader, Jordan Bosse, Calvin Johnson and Tanner Rodinsky to name just a few have stepped up the make the defence become stronger every week.
