OFFENCE
Rhett Williams / RB / VI Raiders
27 carries for 247 yards 1 TD
The second year Raider out of Weyburn Saskatchewan led the BCFC in rushing with 929 yards on the season. Saturday afternoon on the last game of the season he turned in the highest single game total of any running back in the conference this year.
Fall football is all about the run game…the Raiders look to be in good shape with the post season upon on with Williams carrying the load.
DEFENSE
Gevhahn McNalley-Hardisty / DB / VI Raiders
3 tackles / 1 assisted tackled
1 batted ball / 1 forced fumble
3 interceptions
2nd year Raider Hardisty (Victoria) had the biggest game of his junior career (we assume) and likely of any player in the conference this season as he was all over the field in the Raiders win over the Valley Huskers.
Its a special team stat so didn’t count in this category but he blocked a punt as well for good measure
This accolade follows his being named a conference all star last week.
SPECIAL TEAMS
Brandon Poulin / Returner / Valley Huskers
3 kick returns for 73 yards
6 punt returns for 90 yards
Huskers Poulin (Winnipeg) came up with another big effort on special teams for his club as the Huskers fell in a tight game in Nanaimo to the Raiders.
A stellar return game is just a sideline gig for the native of the keystone province though, as he wrapped up the season tops in the BCFC in both receptions (63) and receiving yards (878)
This is Poulin’s 3rd BC Lions Player of the Week of the season and second straight
