OFFENCE
Julian WytinckΒ Β Β QBΒ Β Β Valley Huskers
21 of 36 / 449 yards / 3 TDS / 1INT
It was going to take a pretty good performance to take home offensive player of the week as there were a few outstanding performances on the weekend. Wytinck was up to the challenge as he led the Huskers to a 38-17 win over a Huskers team that showed it wasnβt going to lay down in this one and put up a fair share of yardage as well, making Wytinckβs efforts all the more necessary.
Wytinck also established a new Huskers single game passing yardage mark in the process and his 449 yards also places him 10th conference wide all time.
DEFENSE
Conor RichardΒ Β Β Β Β Β LBΒ Β Β Okanagan Sun
4 tackles / 2 sacks / 1 forced fumble / 1 pass deflection
Richard was one of a trio of Sun players who could have taken home defensive POW this week as the Sun stifled the Langley Rams offense in the 21-13 road win.
As is usually the case, the speedy linebacker was all over the field and made plays virtually everywhere on the field for his club.
SPECIAL TEAM
Isaac WegnerΒ Β Β Β Β Β KΒ Β Β Okanagan Sun
10 punts 38.3 AVG / 5 of 6 field goals
On a night that saw the Sun offense struggling to find the end zone or even consistently move the ball against a tough Rams defense, the Sun needed Wegner to put the Rams on a long field with his punting and ultimately handle the majority of the scoring.
He delivered in both areas as he chipped in 15 of the Sunβs 21 points on the night
