BCFC Semi-Finals Players of the Week

Ā

Offense ā€“RECEIVER, Brycen Mayoh-VI Raiders

5 receptions for 109 yards, both Raider TDS

Media pundits said prior to the BCFC semi-final between the VI Raiders and Okanagan Sun that if the Sun shut down Raiders star receiver Brycen Mayoh they would winā€¦

Mayoh, who led the conference in receiving yards this year with 805 yards and 12 TDS was wasnā€™t about to be shut down this day. The result has his club in the BCFC championship game!

Defense ā€“ DEFENSIVE BACK, Shawn Arabsky-VI Raiders

4 tackles, 2 interceptions,

The VI Raiders secondary made things miserable all afternoon for Sun quarterback Keith Zyla as they held him to no touchdowns and chipped in 4 interceptions of their own. Shawn Arabsky was the architect of two of those.

Oh, he blocked a punt for good measure as well.

Ā

Special Teams-RETURNER, Brandon Gandrie-Westshore Rebels

5 punt returns for 124 yards (24.8 average)

The BCFC semi-final between the host Westshore Rebels and Langley Rams was in hand for the home side early as the Rebels won in a rout. While returner Brandon Gandrieā€™s stellar 24.8 return average may not have been crucial on this day, it will no doubt be noticed by Raiders coaches as they break down film of the team they will be facing in the Cullen Cup.

If Gandrie has another day like this Saturday, the Rebels return game is in good shape.
