BCFC VidSwap.com Players of the Week 10: Albertini, Arthurs, Naylor (video hilites)

The British Columbia Football Conference is pleased to announce their β€œVidSwap.com Players of the Week” for Week Ten of the 2011 season.


The Langley Rams clinched third place on Saturday night thanks in large part to the contributions of the BCFC Offensive Player of the Week; running back Kyle Albertini. The 19 year old would single handily score more times than the opposition, scoring three touchdowns enroute to the Rams victory. Albertini would carry the rock 13 times for 106 yards and record two touchdowns. He also caught three passes for 56 yards and had a major. It’s the first award of the year for the Mission, BC native.

Highlights:


In the final game of the season for the Kamloops Broncos defensive back Shayne Arthurs turned in a performance that named him the BCFC Defensive Player of the Week. The four year veteran recorded four solo tackles, an assist, and two very important interceptions. He would return his picks 15 and 18 yards respectively setting up the Bronco offence. It’s the first award for Arthurs this season.

The Langley Rams blowout victory on Saturday night in Westshore saw a number of terrific individual efforts including the play of the BCFC Special Teams Player of the Week, Rams kick Nick Naylor. The rookie 19 year old accounted for 10 of the Rams 42 points hitting two field goals from 32 and 40 yards out respectively. He would also tally four converts and seven punts for 251 yards pinning the Rebels deep. The Abbotsford native would also record six kick-offs for 353 yards. It’s the first award for Naylor this season.

Highlights:

Its playoff time as the #1 seed Vancouver Island Raiders host their island rival the #4 seed Westshore Rebels on Saturday afternoon. Then on Sunday the #2 seeded Okanagan Sun welcome in the #3 seed Langley Rams.
