Best Quarterback CFL Players Of All Time

The Canadian Football League has been around for nearly 70 years now, after it was first introduced into the Canadian mainstream back in 1958. Since then, many players since then have played in the CFL, some succeeding, some moving onto bigger and better things and others now being able to cut it. Today, we thought we’d take a look at a some of the players on the better end of the spectrum in terms of quality and look at some of the best players to ever grace the CFL.

Of course, this list wouldn’t be complete without mentioning the godfather of the CFL which is Doug Flutie. Flutie played in the early 90’s era when he initially signed for B/C Lions back in 1990 and was told that he was too small to play quarter back in the CFL. Flutie spent eight years in the CFL and held virtually every record in the CFL during his short stint in the league as 6 out of his 8 seasons in the CFL he was named as MVP of the league – the most ever in the CFL. Flutie had a tough first season but had an overall record of 99-27 is one of the best ever in the league and he won the Grey Cup three times throughout his career.

With it currently being the off-season, many footballer punters are looking for alternative methods to try and produce a profit from the comfort of their homes and these top listed online casinos in Canada have been giving the opportunity for Canadian to turn a huge profit from the comfort of their own homes on games including roulette, poker and blackjack.

In terms of longevity Anthony Calvillo is one of the most well-renowned quarterbacks in the history of the CFL and is certainly the only player to be able to rival Flutie for the top spot. Calvillo is the all-time top passer in terms of total yards pass which stands at a ridiculous 79,816 yards which is nearly 5,000 more yards than the second competitor on the list, Damon Allen. Further to that, he also has the most passing touchdowns in the history of the CFL which stands at 455 and a number like this might never get touched. Calvillo will be questioning why he isn’t at the top of the best players of all time in the CFL because he does have an argument to be there due to his 18 seasons in the league and three Grey Cup wins.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
