Bishop’s Kevin Kwasny returns to Winnipeg via air ambulance


Kevin Kwasny, the Bishop’s Gaiters player who suffered a brain hemorrhage during a football game on September 10th. The 21-year old defensive lineman from Winnipeg was transported by air ambulance to Winnipeg, where he and his family were met by a medical team.

Kevin Kwasny, a 21-year-old defensive lineman with the Bishop’s Gaiters, was rushed to hospital on Sept. 10 to undergo emergency surgery to treat a subdural hematoma, which is a swelling of clotted blood on the brain.

In a brief statement, Bishop’s University announced that Kwasny had been transported by air ambulance to Winnipeg, where is originally from. Regarding his health, the statement said that “signs of improvement and consciousness” in recent days.

Kwasny’s family has refused all interview request.
