Bishop’s atmosphere “extremely welcoming” says Bowmanville recruit

Bowmanville linebacker joins RSEQ team’s 2016 class

Cam Banton is heading to Quebec to continue his gridiron career.

The 6’0, 195 pound linebacker from Bowmanville, Ontario has committed to Bishop’s Gaiters.  Banton will join the team for the 2016 RSEQ season.

“I chose Bishop’s because of the small school and the atmosphere was extremely welcoming,” explained the defensive standout of his decision.  “Coach [Kevin] Mackey was extremely welcoming as well as the rest of the coaches.”

“The program has consistently produced CFL talent which was also a big factor to why I chose to go there.”
