Bishop’s inks CEGEP recruit

CEGEP lineman becomes newest recruit to join RSEQ team’s 2015 class.

Connor Auger is staying in Quebec to begin the CIS chapter of his career.

Recently, 6’3, 310 pound left guard from Embrun, Ontario signed with the Bishop’s Gaiters. Auger will join the team for the 2015 RSEQ season.

For Auger, the promising direction and tremendous upside the Gaiter football program has illustrated made his decision to commit fairly simple.

β€œI committed to Bishop’s knowing this year they were a young team and had amazing potential for upcoming seasons and I wanted to feel part of that,” said Auger of his choice.Β  β€œI also considered Bishop’s knowing that they have an impressive record of players continuing to play for professional teams.”

β€œI chose Bishop’s because I felt led to be a part of something with such high potential in upcoming years for myself in football as well as in school.”

The Ontario guard just completed his final season with CEGEP Division 1 team Champlain-Lennoxville Cougars.Β  Moreover, Auger has suited up for the Cumberland Panthers of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL).
