CFC 100 & Brampton receiver becomes first recruit for CWUAA team’s 2015 class.

CFC 100 Lerenzo Brandon Ihanza will be commencing his CIS career in the Prairies.

On Thursday, the 6’2, 190 pound receiver from Brampton, Ontario committed to the University of Manitoba Bisons for the 2015 CWUAA season.

There were several factors why Ihanza chose the Bisons including the comfort level he felt upon his visit to the Winnipeg, Manitoba campus as well as the increased opportunity to play at the receiver position.

“I chose Manitoba because of the family atmosphere,” explained the CFC 100 of his decision.  “It’s a great school with a great academic program the coaching staff are very dedicated to their boys and look out for them on and off the field.”

“The fact that they lost a lot of receivers next year was a factor because now I know I have the chance to immediately come in and be an impact.  Winnipeg is a great city to live in and their facilities are probably best in the country.”
