This match-up will be the 2012 season home opener as the Bisons will start on the road to begin the upcoming campaign before playing as part of the Banjo Bowl weekend festivities at the Fort Garry University of Manitoba campus location.

β€œThis game is as big as they get. This marks probably the biggest milestone in the history of the Bison Football program,” exclaimed Bison football head coach Brian Dobie heading into his 17th season at the helm. β€œWe have waited almost 50 years to open a new stadium and as of now, only 180 days left and I can’t wait! It will be an incredibly surreal moment for many who have loved the University and been a big part of the Bison Football program.”

The full Bison Football and Canada West football scheduled will be officially released later in Spring 2012. More details in regards to the first-ever CIS football game at Investors Group Field will be announced at a further date.
