BMFA mourns the loss of Peter Mallon

Friday December 2, the Burlington Minor Football Association (BMFA) lost a treasured member of its football family when peewee Stampeder coach Peter Mallon passed away after a heart attack. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Friday we lost a great man, a great coach and truly a great friend, Coach Peter Mallon passed away.

For those who knew Peter, he had a huge, loving heart but unfortunately not a strong one and after suffering a heart attack last week, lost his battle December 2.

Peter was a Stampeder coach years ago, coaching many of our own including Coach Tony, Coach Randy, Coach George and Coach Cap to name only a few. He came back to coaching the Stampeders three years ago, two years at the Atom level and most recently the Peewee level bringing home two COMFL championships and two undefeated seasons.

Peter will be missed deeply by his family, his friends and all the players who knew him as Coach Pete. Funeral arrangements have been made. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 6 at Smith’s Funeral Home, 1167 Guelph Line, Burlington 3-5pm and 7-9pm.
