Boulay selected 30th overall by the Alouettes at 2013 CFL Draft

Sherbrooke Vert et Or linebacker Nicolas Boulay was the 30th overall pick in the 2013 Canadian Football League Draft this afternoon. The Montreal Alouettes offered him an opportunity to earn a spot among the professionals.

The number 5 has brought luck to the 4-year veteran of the Vert et Or since it was a fifth selection for the Alouettes since the beginning of the day and Boulay was also the fifth player to be chosen from the linebackers .

No. 56 from David Lessard’s team becomes the third Sherbrooke player to be directly associated with the Alouettes, after the kicker William Dion (who signed a contract this year and will be at the next training camp) and fullback Benoit Boulanger (drafted 39th overall by the Alouettes in May 2009).
