Bowmanville recruit picks Mount Allison (VIDEO)

Bowmanville linebacker joins AUS team’s 2016 class.

Aidan McKenna wanted to move on to the next stage of his career at a small post-secondary instiution.

Consequently, the 6’2, 215 pound linebacker from Bowanville, Ontario committed to Mount Allison Mounties.  McKenna will join the team for the 2016 AUS season.

“I loved how the how small the class sizes where compared to other schools,” expressed the defensive standout about the Sackville, New Brunswick campus.  “To get a chance to get a great education well having your professor know you by name is something you don’t see very often.”

“I also love the team atmosphere there. The team spent all there time together that’s something you really don’t get at a bigger university. And it’s plus to play on such a great program.”

McKenna comes to the Mounties after completing his career with St. Stephen’s Royals of the Lake Ontario Secondary School Athletic Association (LOSSAA).  In addition to the Royals, the linebacker has previously suited up for both the Oshawa Hawkeyes of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL) and Clarington Knights of the Ontario Football Conference (OFC).
