Bowmanville’s Scott Ferguson signs with the Eskimos


Former St. Cloud State left tackle Scott Ferguson signed a two-year contract with the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League on Friday.

Ferguson, at 6’6″ and 360 lbs. was a three-year starter for St. Cloud State. A three-time All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) selection, twice as a first team honoree, Ferguson was named to the 2009 D2football.com All-NSIC preseason football team. Ferguson played in 44 career games as a Husky and has been a starter on the line in 33 of those games. Ferguson was a fifth round draft pick and no. 35 overall pick of the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League (CFL) in 2010. The St. Cloud State offense averaged 423.6 yards per game in total offense in 2010, including 227.9 yards in the air and 195.7 yards on the ground. Ferguson is a 2006 graduate of Bowmanville (Ontario) High School. He is a recreation major.
