Brampton recruit determined to “see the field” early on at Bishop’s (VIDEO)

Brampton linebacker/defensive end joins RSEQ team’s 2016 class.

In the quest to make an early impact at the CIS level, Anthoine Walker is moving provinces to achieve his main goal.

The 6’4, 220 pound linebacker/defensive end from Brampton, Ontario committed to Bishop’s Gaiters.  Walker will join the team for the 2016 RSEQ season.

“I picked Bishop’s for many different reasons,” explained the defensive standout.  “Mainly, academically for the small campus and classroom sizes, giving me a better chance to have more one on one time with the professor.”

“With athletics, I have a chance to make a big impact coming in to a team that won two games in the past two seasons. Also the small roster gives me a better chance to see the field early in my university career.”

In 2015, Walker helped the St. Roch Ravens of the Region of Peel Secondary School Athletic Association (ROPSSAA) win their historical first ever OFSAA Bowl this past November.  During the fall season, the defensive standout recorded four sacks, registered 26 tackles and had a pick-six.
