Brampton recruit hopes to play role in Laurier movement (VIDEO)

Brampton offensive lineman commits to OUA team’s 2015 class.

The Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks have announced the commitment of Sukhneet Kahlon to their football program.

Kahlon, the 6’3, 290 pound offensive lineman from Brampton, Ontario will join the team for the 2015 OUA season.

“Suk has put in a lot of time into the weight room and is a physically impressive lineman,” commented Golden Hawks Head Coach Michael Faulds.  “He is joining us in January, which will allow him to get a head start in school and allow him participate in our offseason training and practices.”

Recently, the offensive lineman completed his high school career with White Oaks Wildcats of the Halton Secondary School Athletic Association (HSSAA).  Additionally, he suited up for the Halton Cowboys of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL). While he is a native of Brampton, he is currently living in Oakville.

For his part, Kahlon liked the positive direction the Golden Hawks is heading towards in the future and wanted to be part of the movement.

“I committed to the Laurier Golden Hawks because of their upward direction due to the young and upcoming talent on the team and also because of the coaching staff which I believe is one of the best coaching staffs in the CIS,” expressed Kahlon.
