Brantford Bison OMFL atoms come up big on the road

In Ontario Minor Football League (OMFL) Atom level action the Brantford Bisons outlasted the home team Mississauga Warriors in a well played affair by both squads. The back and forth affair saw both teams execute well on offense and defense. The Bisons broke the scoreless tie in the 2nd quarter when #83, QB, Jhamal Sewell hooked up with tight end, #86 Quin Kramer for a 25 yard pass and catch for a touchdown. The extra point try was unsuccessful

The second half followed the same script as the first half with teams playing a close back and forth affair. The opportunistic Bison defense saw #86, Jhamal Sewell stop the Warriors in the end zone for a safety touch and 2 points….which also saw Jhamal score all the games points as the final ended 8 to 0. Even though that was the final score, the last minute saw some drama when the Bisons fumbled the ball and on the next play the Warriors had a big catch by #11 Jayden Brown. But once again the Bison defense stood the test and stopped the Warriors.

Mississauga players of the game were #42 defensive player Jordan Henry and the aforementioned #11 Jayden Brown on offense. For the Bisons who else but #86 Jhamal Sewell on Offense and #36 Eric Lavric on defense.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
