Brantford recruit couldn’t ‘say no’ to McMaster (VIDEO)

Brantford offensive lineman joins OUA team’s 2015 class.

Kyle Maertens was looking for a place to thrive as a student-athlete.

Recently, he found that place as the 6’4 ½, 296 pound offensive lineman (left tackle) signed with the McMaster Marauders.  Maertens will join the team for the 2015 OUA season.

“I chose to play for the McMaster Marauders because it is an environment in which success is likely for me,” elaborated the offensive lineman of his choice.  “The coaching staff as well as the academic personnel made it feels like the school was a place that I was not able to say no to.”

“McMaster’s previous success in the past few seasons was also a reason I chose to play for them.”

Maertens has played for Assumption Lions of the Brant County Secondary School Athletic Association (BCSSAA), Brantford Bisons of the Ontario Football Conference (OFC) and Salisbury Knights.
