Brantford recruit hopes to contribute to McMaster’s future success

Brantford two-way standout joins OUA team’s 2016 class

Tyler Gagne will be starting the next chapter of his gridiron career in Hamilton,

Recently, the 6’4, 215 pound running back/linebacker from Brantford, Ontario committed to McMaster Marauders. Gagne will join the team for the 2016 OUA season.

“I signed with McMaster because I really like the campus and how compact it is,” explained Gagne of his decision.  “They have a very good program and I want to be a part of it and contribute.”

The offensive lineman is a relative newcomer to the sport as he has only played the discipline for only two years with the Brantford Colts of the Brantford County Secondary School Athletic Association (BCSSAA).  In four games during the 2015 season, Gagne amassed 939 rushing yards on 57 carries, 35 passing yards on one attempt, eight touchdowns, 8.5 tackles and an interception.

In addition to running back and linebacker, Gagne also played at the defensive end position as well as on special teams.
