Braun leads Hilltoppers to victory (SUMMARY)

The Saskatoon Hilltops kept their unbeaten record in tact with a 30-15 win over the Regina Thunder at Mosaic Stadium on Saturday night.

Running back Chad Braun scored two touchdowns. The first came in the final minute of the first quarter in helping Saskatoon to a 13-0 lead. The second came early in the fourth quarter.

Nolan Graham scored his second touchdown in as many weeks with a third quarter run.

Hilltops quarterback Matt Karpinka finished the night with 7 completions in 15 attempts for 101 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.

Both teams had drives that stalled. Derek Sadownick, Taylor Rehn and Chris Friesen had interceptions for Saskatoon, while Tanner Hope and Christian Mbanza had interceptions for Regina. All of the Thunder points came from the foot of William McGee who kicked five field field goals.

The 2-0 Hilltops and 1-1 Thunder will have a re-match on Saturday September 7th at 7pm at Gordie Howe Bowl.
