British Columbia recruit “gets to keep promise to always be a Ram”

New Westminster lineman joins CWUAA team’s 2016 class.

There were too many reasons why Jamie Wandell couldn’t turn down one CIS school.

As a result, the 6’4 295 pound lineman from New Westminster, British Columbia signed with University of Regina Rams.  Wandell will join the team for the 2016 CWUAA season.

“I am going to Regina because of the great family atmosphere; their coaching staff is amazing,: explained Wandell of his decision.  “How can you down playing in a football crazed place like Regina?

“Playing at Mosaic Stadium will be a great new home field to play on. the fact that they are getting a new stadium is a bonus. I get too work with one of the best offensive line coaches around getting to maximize my potential plus they are getting a brand new weight room was also very nice.  I’m going with Ben Sharpe and my girlfriend of nine years. One of the funniest is they are called the Rams, playing for the Langley Rams I get to keep my promise to always be a Ram.”

Recently, Wandell completed a stint with Langley Rams of the British Columbia Football Conference (BCFC) in the Canadian Junior Football League (CJFL).  Previous to that, the lineman suited up for the New Westminster Hyacks of the British Columbia High School Football Association (BCHSFA).

“I cannot wait to get there and put on the green and gold and represent regina and all the hard working people that live there and breath football.  Go Rams!”
